A Symphony of Movement - A Collaboration of Sound, Sonics & Spinal Energetics.

A Mother's Day special guiding you through body, mind & spirit with movement, breath and spinal energetics to a deeply nourishing sound bath.

Spinal Energetics and the breathwork technique throughout this event will untangle layers of stress, tension, trauma and unprocessed emotions that become stagnant and stored in your body. By unravelling tension in your spine and resetting your nervous system's physical symptoms, pain, emotional + psychological stress, and trauma are released from your body, clearing your energy field. So you can live freer and more in alignment with your soul.

This incredibly special event will see sound alchemist IKSRE (Phoebe Dubar) + movement and holistic healer Maydn (Ghislain) guide you through an immersive energetic experience, interweaving a nourishing sound bath with breathwork and spinal energetics.

While being bathed in IKSRE’s voice, Alchemy crystal and Himalayan singing bowls, gongs, chimes, Monochord and drums, backed up by the deeply healing sounds of the natural world, Ghislain will guide you through a gentle movement practice, releasing any tension in your body, before anchoring you in stillness and the depths of a breathwork experience, connecting you with your inner landscape. You will be guided through your body, interlacing with your energetic bodies, as you arrive into a state of deep rest and relaxation, to receive spinal energetics healing, as bound energy is released to leave you feeling renewed.

Things to note:

Centre of You has plenty of bolsters, blankets, and cushions for you to get cosy with though feel free to bring any personal items that may afford you a sense of greater comfort and familiarity.

You will be invited to sit/lay upon the floor so loose clothing that enables easeful, light movement and deep breathing will serve you most supportively. There are chairs available should you need or desire one.

Arrival: Endeavour to arrive between 1:45pm - 2:00pm. To preserve the experience for all involved, doors will close at 2:15pm. Truly, it breaks our heart to have to turn latecomers away yet the disruption to the whole group experience by virtue of lateness does require management. We ask that you find understanding and consideration for the timebound nature of the container and make every effort to arrive on time.

Driving: Know Centre of You is on Chapel St and ample time to find a car spot is best to be factored into your plans. Park in Anchor Place, the open-air parking lot in the side street that runs opposite Centre of You. If more spaciousness is required, and so you can fully settle into the practice, we suggest you avoid the need to move your car or risk a fine and park at the CARe multilevel carpark (8-14 King Street Prahran), a 140-metre walk from COY.

Public transport - tram: Both the number 6 tram & 78 tram stop on the corner of High St/Chapel St. This is stop 31 on the number 6 tram (Moreland/Glen Iris) & stop 45 on the number 78 tram (North Richmond/Balaclava).

Public transport - train: Both Prahran & Windsor stations along the Sandringham Line will get you walking distance to Centre of You.

Finding Centre of You: Centre of You is nestled within the arcade that Chapel St Bazaar is in (217 Chapel St). It is up a flight of stairs with a wide landing at the half-way-point. Unfortunately, this current version of Centre of You does not have a wheelchair accessible lift. If you could use support in getting up the stairs or would like to discuss ways to make your experience at Centre of You more comfortable, please reach out via grace@centreofyou.com.au or via DM over on Centre of You Instagram.

Accessibility: At COY we aim to ensure our community and events are inclusive and accessible.
