Blooming Homecoming Show - Live Music, Cacao & Ecstatic Dance.

Having spent the last 8 months moving to Europe, Patrick Blooming is returning to Melbourne to share a new collection of stories, poems and songs from one of the biggest years of his life.

As you sip cacao, be taken on a journey from Bali to Italy, to Portugal and the South of France. Share in the journey of exploring the theme of what home really means.

With supporting artists (To Be Announced) and an Ecstatic Dance DJ set from LIONel this is a night of singing, celebration and connection as a community coming together through storytelling and expression.

Music begins at 7PM!
Arrive early to make sure you don't miss a minute of the whole experience.

About your facilitators:

Patrick Blooming - @bloomingmusic

Guiding you this evening will be Patrick Blooming, a local singer songwriter known as Blooming. Renowned for his talent in creating spaces that are fun, warm and deeply nurturing, he has become well known in the COY community with his facilitation of the Human Forest Experiences and sold-out live performances. Blooming brings over 15 years experience of artistic exploration through songwriting, singing and live music. Moving through the realms of visual art, performance, vocal work and spoken word poetry, he has now ventured into the world of storytelling through song. Blooming captures an independent artist sharing songs and music from the heart and creates spaces where audiences can step into their own.

DJ LIONel @Phillip_Lionel

LIONel creates epic dance floors through an eclectic selection of hand-picked tunes. From reggae, bass music, organic, disco house, and more, LIONel loves music so deeply and is fulfilled by sharing the highest vibe beats for dancers to liberate their mind and get into their body. LIONel is a conjoined word meaning ‘fire warrior lion’ in both Hebrew and ancient Egyptian. Having been trained from some of the forefront ecstatic DJ/Producers such as Temple Step, Scott Nice, ATYYA and Mose, LIONel is primed to ignite one of your most memorable dance floor experiences.

Things to note:

Centre of You has plenty of bolsters, blankets, and cushions for you to get cosy with though feel free to bring any personal items that may afford you a sense of greater comfort and familiarity.

You will be invited to sit/lay upon the floor so loose clothing that enables easeful, light movement and deep breathing will serve you most supportively. There are chairs available should you need or desire one.

Notice of photography/videography: This event will be captured for the purpose of future marketing material to support the endeavours of those delivering it. If you do not wish to have your identity captured, yet still wish to join, please let yourself be known at the door so that your choice can be noted and honoured.

Personal responsibility: Please make an assessment on whether you are feeling stable and resourced enough to explore the practices on offer in this event.

Arrival: Endeavour to arrive between 6:45pm - 7:00pm. To preserve the experience for all involved, doors will close at 7:15pm. Truly, it breaks our heart to have to turn latecomers away yet the disruption to the whole group experience by virtue of lateness does require management. We ask that you find understanding and consideration for the timebound nature of the container and make every effort to arrive on time.

Driving: Know Centre of You is on Chapel St and ample time to find a car spot is best to be factored into your plans. Park direct on Chapel St (spots unmetered after 5pm) or in Anchor Place, the open-air parking lot in the side street that runs opposite Centre of You (unmetered after 4pm).

Public transport - tram: Both the number 6 tram & 78 tram stop on the corner of High St/Chapel St. This is stop 31 on the number 6 tram (Moreland/Glen Iris) & stop 45 on the number 78 tram (North Richmond/Balaclava).

Public transport - train: Both Prahran & Windsor stations along the Sandringham Line will get you walking distance to Centre of You.

Finding Centre of You: Centre of You is nestled within the arcade that Chapel St Bazaar is in (217 Chapel St). It is up a flight of stairs with a wide landing at the half-way-point. Unfortunately, this current version of Centre of You does not have a wheelchair accessible lift. If you could use support in getting up the stairs or would like to discuss ways to make your experience at Centre of You more comfortable, please reach out via grace@centreofyou.com.au or via DM over on Centre of You Instagram.

Accessibility: At COY we aim to ensure our community and events are inclusive and accessible while alongside upholding the needs and responsibilities of our business and the businesses of our collaborating facilitators. Should you be in a time of financial challenge and unable to pay the full ticket price comfortably, please reach out via grace@centreofyou.com.au or via DM over on Centre of You Instagram

Ticketing T&Cs: IMPORTANT NOTICE BEFORE BOOKING YOUR TICKET - NO REFUND POLICY
