About the experience:
Treat yourself to a unique journey of balance and self-discovery through Kundalini Yoga and Sound Healing. Led by experienced Kundalini Yoga teachers, Kiran Jot and Doug, who have over two decades of teaching experience between them, this unique retreat offers a beautiful balance of masculine and feminine energy that has profound benefits for healing.
Through dynamic Kundalini Yoga and sound healing, you'll activate your inner energy and connect with your true essence. By balancing masculine and feminine energy, you can experience a greater sense of wholeness, emotional stability, and inner peace; Harmony in Alignment.
This workshop not only provides insight and experience with these powerful techniques but also offers an opportunity to reset, rejuvenate, and unwind in an urban-style, half-day retreat that focuses on healing, self-care, and personal growth beyond the workshop.
No previous yoga experience is necessary - just bring an open mind and a willingness to explore.
What to expect:
1:45 pm: Doors Open, Check-In and Welcome.
Please arrive by 1:45 pm for registration and a warm welcome from our team. We will be serving blue lotus flower tea to help you relax and set the tone for the afternoon ahead.
2:00pm: Opening of the Sacred Space and Introduction by Doug and Kiran Jot.
2.15pm: Balance The Feminine with Doug.
Doug will lead a Kundalini Yoga Kriya that focuses on balancing our reproductive energy. This Kriya taps into our flow, intuition, creativity, desires, and inner wisdom, which are important aspects of feminine energy. By channelling our reproductive energy in a positive way, we balance the polarity of the feminine with the masculine to feel more aligned and connected with our inner selves, leading to greater self-confidence and clarity.
3pm: Balance The Masculine with Kiran Jot.
Kiran Jot will embrace and nurture the masculine through the practices of asana, pranayama and meditation. By tapping into our inner strength, courage, and logic, which are important elements of masculine energy, we can achieve greater balance and harmony within ourselves, leading to increased focus, resilience, and determination. Honoring both the masculine and feminine energies is important, and recognizing the value of integrating both aspects within ourselves in a balanced way can lead to a greater sense of your true self.
3.45pm: Sound Healing
The sound healing session is a unique and powerful experience that combines curated tones generated by music software, Tibetan bells, tuning forks, and planetary gongs. Using a state-of-the-art sound system, the sounds are projected in a way that envelops you in a three-dimensional space, creating a sense of immersion that can transport you to another realm. This transformative healing experience is one-of-a-kind and not to be missed.
4.20pm: Closing Space
We will end our retreat with a closing circle, where you will have the opportunity to reflect on your experiences and insights from the day. Our teachers will offer guidance and support, and we will set our intentions for continued growth and transformation.
About your facilitators:
Kiran Jot - @kiranjot.yoga
Kundalini Yoga found Kiran Jot in Bali in 2009, during a quest for a deeper and more meaningful connection to self, to life and this human experience. Kiran Jot showed up to class religiously for the next two years with her teacher and inspiration Guru Want Kaur and completed her teacher training in Bali in 2014 with late Guru Dass Singh. Kiran Jot fell pregnant in the training with her first son and has since completed the Awakened Woman Conscious Pregnancy teacher training whilst pregnant with her second son with Suraj Kaur in Queensland. Since her personal journey into Motherhood, she has felt a deep calling and love for supporting Mothers, raising conscious and compassionate boys/children and empowering woman to stand in their own power and light to lead the way for their families and community.
Kiran Jot dedicates her life to supporting others in their own healing and personal awakening to their soul, their light and gifts while embracing their perfectly imperfect Being. Kiran Jot runs a small private studio in St Kilda and delivers classes, workshops and retreats as well as creating yogic divine feminine wares and curating a store for yogic lifestyle products, as well as teaching a weekly class at Yoga 8.

Public transport - tram: Both the number 6 tram & 78 tram stop on the corner of High St/Chapel St. This is stop 31 on the number 6 tram (Moreland/Glen Iris) & stop 45 on the number 78 tram (North Richmond/Balaclava).
Public transport - train: Both Prahran & Windsor stations along the Sandringham Line will get you walking distance to Centre of You.
