An exploration of the consensual touch we truly long to give and receive. A Human Forest for women & female-identifying beings.
Reclaiming Touch: The Mother Line
*A Human Forest for Women & Female-Identifying Beings*
This Mother’s Day Eve
Let us celebrate our mothers.
Let us celebrate the beauty of being a woman –
with this soft and sacred invitation to return to your body, to your rhythm, to yourself.
A journey back to trust.
A quiet homecoming to your inner knowing.
A remembering that your body is yours - and always has been.
We gather in honour of the women who came before us - our mothers, grandmothers, and all the women whose stories live in our bones.
For so many generations, women did not have the privilege of true choice when it came to their bodies.
Autonomy and sovereignty were not always available to them.
And yet, we are here.
And we are the ones who can gently reclaim what was lost,
and teach the generations to come what it truly means to honour the sacredness of being a woman.
To reclaim our bodies.
To reclaim touch.
As women, we give so much.
Our bodies carry life.
Our hearts hold families.
Our touch nurtures everyone around us.
And so often, we do all this without receiving the nourishment we deeply need.
It is time to receive.
To fill your own cup.
To be held in gentleness, care, and reverence.
For many of our foremothers, touch was something expected - not chosen.
Consent was rarely spoken. Boundaries were often invisible.
Their bodies were not always treated as sovereign spaces.
But now, we have the opportunity to rewrite the story - with tenderness, intention, and truth.
A Sanctuary of Sovereignty & Safety
Reclaiming Touch is a loving offering -
a quiet, grounded space to explore the experience of touch in a way that centres your autonomy, honours your boundaries, and trusts your timing.
Here, your body leads.
You are never expected to do anything other than what feels right for you.
Every interaction is guided by non-verbal consent, so your yes, no, or maybe is always enough.
Held in gentle practices, the healing power of the feminine, and the strength of compassionate sisterhood, you’ll be invited to:
✨ Reconnect with the language of your body - listening to its wisdom and signals
✨ Explore touch on your own terms - through witnessing, receiving, offering, or simply resting in presence
✨ Soothe your nervous system - with breath, grounding, and the quiet co-regulation of others
✨ Reclaim your right to be held, seen, and honoured - without pressure or expectation
This is not about pushing past discomfort.
It’s about restoring your right to choose.
It’s about remembering that safety lives in slowness, presence, and choice.
Honouring the Mother Line
On this Mother’s Day Eve, we honour the women before us not only through remembrance,
but by choosing a different way forward.
We choose to listen.
To rest.
To honour our bodies as sacred.
To reclaim the right to say yes - or no -
with clarity, confidence, and care.
Come as you are, exactly as you are.
Whether you long for connection or wish to rest quietly in shared space, you are welcome here.
Let yourself be held in a field of loving respect,
where your body is your own
and your boundaries are a blessing.

WHAT IS A HUMAN FOREST?
For those of you that don't know, a Human Forest Experience is a human ecosystem connected by consensual touch.
Half of the room will be trees who will be blindfolded and receive loving, devotional touch from the other half of the room (the critters). You will have the opportunity to experience being both a tree and a critter.
These events can be powerful, healing opportunities for participants to experience intimacy and joy. Our priority to supporting participants to leave our events feeling opened, cared for and loved.
Come be part of a movement awakening people to the joy filled, healing and restorative power of touch.
------
IMPORTANT:
In this event we focus on devotional, loving and non-sexually oriented touch. Note: there is no genitalia touch at this event.
All our events have been remarkably healing and opening for many participants.
That being said, this is a touch focused event. If you have any history of trauma related to receiving or giving touch, please be in touch with us directly to seriously consider whether this event is right for you.
Participants are required to be on time to ensure they understand how to communicate their boundaries with clarity and respect via the consent and boundaries section at the commencement of the event.

No Photo/Video Content Will Be Captured:
We recognise that being at an event where content is being captured can impact the personal comfort and nervous system regulation of our community. As such, it should be known upfront that this event is a photo and video free space. No content will be captured. We ask all participants to honor this agreement in respect of the shared experience by placing any recording devices away on arrival.
Arrival: Endeavour to arrive between 12:00pm - 12:15pm. To preserve the experience for all involved, doors will close at 12:30pm. Truly, it breaks our heart to have to turn latecomers away yet the disruption to the whole group experience by virtue of lateness does require management. We ask that you find understanding and consideration for the timebound nature of the container and make every effort to arrive on time.
Driving: Centre of You is located upon Chapel Street and while you may get lucky with an untimed spot, (try High Street) predominantly 1 and 2 hour parking is available (unmetered from 5pm). So you can fully settle into the practice, we suggest you avoid the need to move your car or risk a fine and park at the CARe multilevel carpark (8-14 King Street Prahran), a 140-metre walk from COY.
1 - 2 Hours parking will be charged at $5.60
2 - 3 Hours parking will be charged at $7.50
3-4 hours parking will be charged at $9.00.
Public transport - tram: Both the number 6 tram & 78 tram stop on the corner of High St/Chapel St. This is stop 31 on the number 6 tram (Moreland/Glen Iris) & stop 45 on the number 78 tram (North Richmond/Balaclava).
Public transport - train: Both Prahran & Windsor stations along the Sandringham Line will get you walking distance to Centre of You.
Finding Centre of You: Centre of You is nestled within the arcade that Chapel St Bazaar is in (217 Chapel St). It is up a flight of stairs with a wide landing at the half-way-point. Unfortunately, this current version of Centre of You does not have a wheelchair accessible lift. If you could use support in getting up the stairs or would like to discuss ways to make your experience at Centre of You more comfortable, please reach out via hello@centreofyou.com.au or via DM over on Centre of You Instagram.
Accessibility: At COY we aim to ensure our community and events are inclusive and accessible while alongside upholding the needs and responsibilities of our business and the businesses of our collaborating facilitators.
