About the Experience
Many people constantly give to others but rarely feel they receive the same in return.
Some struggle with the concept of self-love, unsure of how to cultivate it despite being told of its importance.
Others find that their kindness is often taken advantage of, leaving them feeling unappreciated and undervalued.
Some feel as though something is missing when it comes to caring for themselves or standing firmly in their own worth.
Many also experience burnout, struggling to find the time and space to prioritize their own well-being.
If any of this resonates with you, this workshop is designed to help.
Loving oneself can be transformative—it becomes a stabilizing pillar for mental health and well-being. While self-love is often perceived as affecting only one’s relationship with oneself, its impact extends far beyond that. Developing self-love practices fosters the ability to set personal boundaries, cultivate healthier relationships, pursue better opportunities, and recognize one’s inherent worth. In a world that conditions people to put others first, glorifies overworking, and normalizes burnout, many find themselves disconnected from their own desires, needs, and sense of self.
Why Attend This Workshop?
This workshop offers more than just theoretical learning—it provides practical, embodied experiences of self-love. Participants will explore the how of self-love, rather than just the why. The focus will be on creating space for deep self-connection, listening to the heart, and identifying personal needs.
Without a strong relationship with oneself, it’s easy to accept mistreatment, settle for unfulfilling relationships, or seek external validation from those who may not be capable of providing it. This workshop invites participants to reclaim their power by learning to give themselves the love they may have long sought from others.
With a foundation of self-love, external rejection becomes less painful, as individuals learn to hold themselves with compassion. They become more discerning about where they invest their time and energy, spending less time entangled in unhealthy dynamics and more time aligned with what truly serves them. As self-love deepens, it naturally elevates one’s vibrational frequency, drawing in more aligned experiences and connections.

A few notes from your facilitator:
The workshop will include several guided meditation visualizations led by the facilitator. No prior meditation experience is required—participants simply need to close their eyes and follow the instructor’s voice.
Inner child work may bring up emotions. Participants are welcome to share their experiences within the group or speak with the facilitators privately at any time. There is no obligation to participate in any particular exercise—each individual is encouraged to trust their instincts and engage in ways that feel most supportive to them.
Notice of Partial Moment Amateur Photography/Videography: There are many events held at Centre of You where no content is captured. The facilitator of this event however wishes to capture moments of this gathering for future marketing and community-sharing purposes. This will take place via their personal device captured by themselves or a representative. We recognise that being recorded can impact personal comfort and nervous system regulation and we want to honor your preferences. If you do not wish to have your image captured yet still wish to join, know that this is entirely possible at this event. Please speak with us at the door so we can honour your boundaries. If you’d like to review any footage captured at the conclusion of the event, you are most welcome to do so. As the facilitators are capturing moments at this event, you also may do so if the desire arises.
Things to note:
Centre of You has plenty of bolsters, blankets, and cushions for you to get cosy with. We recommend wearing comfortable, loose clothes to enable deep breathing and sitting/laying upon the floor with ease. Something to cover your eyes, if you wish to do so (eg. eye mask, scarf). A journal is recommended as are any familiar personal items that will aid you in feeling grounded (crystal, teddy, scarf, etc).
Personal responsibility: Please make an assessment on whether you are feeling stable and resourced enough to explore the practices on offer in this event.
Arrival: Endeavour to arrive between 10:45am - 11:00am. To preserve the experience for all involved, doors will close at 11:15am. Truly, it breaks our heart to have to turn latecomers away yet the disruption to the whole group experience by virtue of lateness does require management. We ask that you find understanding and consideration for the timebound nature of the container and make every effort to arrive on time.
Driving: Centre of You is located upon Chapel Street and while you may get lucky with an untimed spot, (try High Street) predominantly 1 and 2 hour parking is available (unmetered from 5pm). So you can fully settle into the practice, we suggest you avoid the need to move your car or risk a fine and park at the CARe multilevel carpark (8-14 King Street Prahran), a 140-metre walk from COY.
1 - 2 Hours parking will be charged at $5.60
2 - 3 Hours parking will be charged at $7.50
3-4 hours parking will be charged at $9.00.
Public transport - tram: Both the number 6 tram & 78 tram stop on the corner of High St/Chapel St. This is stop 31 on the number 6 tram (Moreland/Glen Iris) & stop 45 on the number 78 tram (North Richmond/Balaclava).
Public transport - train: Both Prahran & Windsor stations along the Sandringham Line will get you walking distance to Centre of You.
