About the energy of this day:
We gather on Summer Solstice, the longest day and shortest night of the year. Of all the days of 2022, the sun on this one, gives to us the most light, and the night, the least darkness. Partnering this great light with the luminescent understanding of hindsight, we acknowledge all polarities of our lived experiences by giving thanks for our joys, triumphs, connections made, connections lost and the lessons born of our challenges in aid of our becoming over 2022.
About this experience:
Centre of You is playing Kirtan-Cupid in the matching up of Sun & Heidi in their co-facilitation of this evening's soulful experience. Heidi and Sun are both adored heart connections, supporters and contributors to Centre of You and through them as individuals, many mantras and Bhav (love) has been infused into the space that holds Centre of You.
We will enjoy warm chai on arrival, a grounding meditation and a beautiful, immersive mantra journey infused with a nod to the festive season and the year that was.
Following Kirtan, there's no rush to leave. Make yourself a tea, enjoy some mantra-infused prasad (snacks) and connect in community.
About your musicians:
Sun Hyland is a Kirtanist, songwriter & music teacher. For the last 15 years Sun has been leading soulful and uplifting musical mantra & meditation sessions at festivals and yoga centres around Australia & beyond.
His heartfelt devotion to yogic practice combined with many years of experience sharing and teaching music makes him the ideal person to guide you on your kirtan journey.
With a deep belief in the healing power of movement and sound, Heidi believes we can weave our way through space with the vibratory energy we create.
Heidi's harmonium goes everywhere she does and mantra is a huge part of her life. With a deep love of Kirtan and the Sanskrit language, she regards the vibration and frequency of sound as being the medicine that money cannot buy.
