Relating From The Heart - Develop & Strengthen Authentic Relationships.

Are there any relationships that exist in your life today that are not where you want them to be?

Do you feel like you’re lacking depth in any of your relationships?

Are you feeling the intensity of the current times?

Do you desire deeper and more authentic relationships with clearer communication?

If you answered yes to any of these questions then this workshop is for you.

Welcome to Relating From The Heart (with an emphasis on stepping into your divine masculine).

Important: This workshop is aimed at ALL genders... Why???

Many hands make light work, empathy comes through understanding and relationship work is better done together…so of course, bring your fine self, but we invite you to also bring along your friends, sisters, brothers, parents and partners.

Only together are we able to bridge the gap between all parties, strengthening connection, communication and community as we reinforce healthy support systems and create safe spaces for positive change.

What to expect:

This is a workshop on how to operate from a place of love, empathy, compassion and understanding. It’s about creating safe spaces for positive change and real conversations.

The experience gives participants the tools to deepen the connection that they have with themselves, others and their environment while also gaining a greater understanding on the concept of divine masculinity and relating from the heart.

Regardless of whether your relationships are intimate or platonic…whether it's your boss, neighbour, coworker, parent or partner, Relating From The Heart has you covered.

Over the space of 3 hours you'll receive a plethora of simplistic practices that will give you the courage, communication and 'know how' to know what you really want in all of your relationships and be able to communicate that from a place of radical truth, love and wisdom.

You'll learn to create more depth, understanding and joy in ALL your relationships.

Topics covered during the workshop:

  • Understanding your needs wants and desires

  • Love languages

  • Non violent, open communication techniques

  • Situational and self-awareness

  • Confronting conversation training

  • Value stacks

  • Creating and implementing healthy boundaries

  • The importance of consent

  • How to create safe spaces for real conversations

  • The generalised stigma of man and where these stories came from

  • Breaking down / challenging societal norms

  • The psychology of conditioning

  • The biological need to belong and how this plays a role in support of the toxic masculine

  • Suppression vs expression

As well as this, all ticket holders will receive a pricelsess take home resource that allows you to clearly see which specific relationships may be out of alignment in your life. This resource also includes some conversation starters and actionable processes to help bring everything back to a place of reciprocity.

About your Facilitator - Tom Rob @lifeis_theway

Tom is a full time transformational speaker, workshop facilitator, yoga and meditation teacher and life coach. He is the founder of Life Is The Way and has spent 12 years working in the field of self-development and guided discovery, helping his clients make healthier choices, honour their truth, and navigate their own mental health journey.

While studying at university, Tom felt the white- knuckle grip of anxiety and depression take hold for the first time and his happy-go-lucky nature felt like it had disappeared overnight. After breaking down the deeply ingrained beliefs that society held around men talking about their mental health, Tom found the courage to reach out for help and confide in friends and family. It was here that Tom’s career as a motivational speaker and life coach began. His mental health journey saw him go on to study material based on psychology, psychotherapies, relationships (both intimate and platonic), soul purpose, mind mastery, Ayurvedic living, rites of passage, sustainability and finally emotional release/regulation.

Tom has a diploma and degree in outdoor and environmental education and a masters in NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming). He now spends his time traveling Australia speaking with corporates, high school students, parents and teachers as well as hosting workshops and presentations for the general public. His mission across all demographics is to invite participants in living a life full of truth, compassion, authenticity, and responsibility. Tom achieves these outcomes by offering a variety of practices that allow his clients to deepen the relationship that they have with themselves, others, and their environment thus, ensuring a more fulfilling personal life, work life, and social life.

Things to note:

Centre of You has plenty of bolsters, blankets, and cushions for you to get cosy with. A journal is recommended as are any familiar personal items that will aid you in feeling grounded (crystal, teddy, scarf, etc). You may wish to bring an eye-mask for the sound journey.

Personal responsibility: Please make an assessment on whether you are feeling stable and resourced enough to explore the practices on offer in this event.

Arrival: Endeavour to arrive between 9:45am - 10:00am. To preserve the experience for all involved, doors will close at 10:15am. Truly, it breaks our heart to have to turn latecomers away yet the disruption to the whole group experience by virtue of lateness does require management. We ask that you find understanding and consideration for the timebound nature of the container and make every effort to arrive on time.

Driving: Centre of You is located upon Chapel Street and while you may get lucky with an untimed spot, particularly on a Sunday (try High Street) predominantly 1 and 2 hour parking is available (unmetered from 5pm). So you can fully settle into the practice, we suggest you avoid the need to move your car or risk a fine and park at the CARe multilevel carpark (8-14 King Street Prahran), a 140-metre walk from COY. 3 hours parking will be charged at $6.90.

Public transport - tram: Both the number 6 tram & 78 tram stop on the corner of High St/Chapel St. This is stop 31 on the number 6 tram (Moreland/Glen Iris) & stop 45 on the number 78 tram (North Richmond/Balaclava).

Public transport - train: Both Prahran & Windsor stations along the Sandringham Line will get you walking distance to Centre of You.

Finding Centre of You: Centre of You is nestled within the arcade that Chapel St Bazaar is in (217 Chapel St). It is up a flight of stairs with a wide landing at the half-way-point. Unfortunately, this current version of Centre of You does not have a wheelchair accessible lift. If you could use support in getting up the stairs or would like to discuss ways to make your experience at Centre of You more comfortable, please reach out via grace@centreofyou.com.au or via DM over on Centre of You Instagram.

Accessibility: At COY we aim to ensure our community and events are inclusive and accessible while alongside upholding the needs and responsibilities of our business and the businesses of our collaborating facilitators. Should you be in a time of financial challenge and unable to pay the full ticket price comfortably, please reach out to grace@centreofyou.com.au

Ticketing T&Cs: We get it, life happens, therefore we will gladly refund you up until 24hrs before the event start time. After that, we have a strict no refund/no transfer to future events policy. We kindly ask that you respect our policy.
