Rest & Connect - A 5-Part Journey of Rest, Repair, Embodiment & Connection.

A 5-part journey of deep rest, ritual, ceremony, embodiment and connection. A chrysalis of support and slow-dripped transformation for winter.
Rituals of rest were once held as sacred rites of communion, discovery, transcendence, embodiment, unification, reverence and repair. Rediscover rest as a portal into the imaginal realms and liminal spaces wherein lies our innate capacity for creativity, vision, and healing on all dimensions: physical, emotional, energetic, and spiritual.

Find out what possibilities await you, when we come together over a season to nourish the most fundamental and yet often overlooked key to accessing our innate capacity for wholeness, vitality, regulation and joy.

Dance on the precipice of altered states. Tap into the wellspring of creative potency within you. Reclaim the sovereignty of your inner world. Unlock the gateway to your gifts and dreams. Lean back and allow the body its most innate right to self-repair, regenerate and renew. Sink even deeper into the yogic and ceremonial elixirs you know and love.

This is a return home to self and simplicity. A remembrance of ancestral and earth wisdom. A path to clarity, spaciousness, expansion and thriving. Steeped in loving heart-centred gentleness, we unravel back to the softness at the centre of all our beings.

This will be an intimate, closed container capped at 10 places, allowing for connection and safety to deepen over time.

There will be copious space to come together in circle to reflect and integrate not only our rest and embodiment practices, but to share with and witness one another, wherever we are at in our lives at large. Discover connection and co-regulation as a vital part of restoring energy and returning to our wholeness.

Submerged in the waters of divine rest, may we awaken and glimpse the light.

About your Facilitator - Jess Mali @getsoft._____

Devoted to the path of embodiment, relational connection, and earth-based wisdom, Jess Mali is a facilitator of the yogic, shamanic and somatic arts. Steeped equally in the mystic and the humanistic, she holds space with a gentle, titrated approach, for both depth and lightness, softness and wildness.

We heal together.

Jess centres community care, relationship to land and ancestry, and a return to ancient technologies, as the pathways to collective and personal healing and liberation. Her offerings seek to dismantle dogma, decolonise, and give voice to our most tender human parts. Celebrating the gifts and differences we each discover at the heart of our unique embodiment and authentic expression, Jess hopes that by holding each part of ourselves more fully and lovingly, so too can we do the same for others, to move our communities and world at large beyond the polarities that divide, into true reconnection and healing.

Things to note:

Centre of You has plenty of bolsters, blankets, and cushions for you to get cosy with. We recommend wearing comfortable, loose clothes to enable deep breathing and sitting/laying upon the floor with ease. A journal is recommended as are any familiar personal items that will aid you in feeling grounded (crystal, teddy, scarf, etc).

Personal responsibility: Please make an assessment on whether you are feeling stable and resourced enough to explore the practices on offer in this event.

Arrival: Endeavour to arrive between 6:15pm - 6:30pm. To preserve the experience for all involved, doors will close at 6:45pm. Truly, it breaks our heart to have to turn latecomers away yet the disruption to the whole group experience by virtue of lateness does require management. We ask that you find understanding and consideration for the timebound nature of the container and make every effort to arrive on time.

Driving: Know Centre of You is on Chapel St and ample time to find a car spot is best to be factored into your plans. Park direct on Chapel St (spots unmetered after 5pm) or in Anchor Place, the open-air parking lot in the side street that runs opposite Centre of You (unmetered after 4pm).

Public transport - tram: Both the number 6 tram & 78 tram stop on the corner of High St/Chapel St. This is stop 31 on the number 6 tram (Moreland/Glen Iris) & stop 45 on the number 78 tram (North Richmond/Balaclava).

Public transport - train: Both Prahran & Windsor stations along the Sandringham Line will get you walking distance to Centre of You.

Finding Centre of You: Centre of You is nestled within the arcade that Chapel St Bazaar is in (217 Chapel St). It is up a flight of stairs with a wide landing at the half-way-point. Unfortunately, this current version of Centre of You does not have a wheelchair accessible lift. If you could use support in getting up the stairs or would like to discuss ways to make your experience at Centre of You more comfortable, please reach out via grace@centreofyou.com.au or via DM over on Centre of You Instagram.

Accessibility: At COY we aim to ensure our community and events are inclusive and accessible while alongside upholding the needs and responsibilities of our business and the businesses of our collaborating facilitators. Should you be in a time of financial challenge and unable to pay the full ticket price comfortably, please reach out to grace@centreofyou.com.au

Ticketing T&Cs: We get it, life happens, therefore we will gladly refund you up until 24hrs before the event start time. After that, we have a strict no refund/no transfer to future events policy.
