Intuition is not gifted to only 'special people'. Everyone has this ability and it is the only way to live if you want to live in alignment with your true self.
We all allow ourselves at small moments in time to ‘indulge’ in intuition, because we know deep down it is there. Most of the time though we brush it off and listen to the ‘rational’ mind or the ego. Why? There is no 'one' particular thing to blame, but it is because we have grown up in a time where society has developed the strength of the ego & the mind - an orientation based in fear, limitation and survival. At the same time we have not developed, and in-fact have most likely suppressed, our intuitive muscle, our natural instincts, our ability to be connected and profoundly aware, to the level at which we are so inherently and naturally capable of. You only have to look to people and ancient cultures who still live off the land, to see what being in tune with your own instincts begins to look like, and what we are capable of.
