A deeply immersive & transformative sound experience journey into the Power of Om.
This workshop aims to provide a powerful, felt experience of connecting to the original sound—the sound from which all sounds arise and to which all sounds return. To leave not just feeling amazing but with a valuable, life-changing tool.
The session begins with gentle movement to open and release physical tension, preparing the body to receive deeper levels of relaxation. As participants connect to their breath, they will naturally align their mind and body, allowing for greater presence and inner stillness.
Part 1: A brief discourse on the importance of Om, exploring its spiritual significance and some of the benefits of working with this powerful mantra.
Part 2: The group will come together for Om chanting, supported by the beautiful sound of the shruti box. Through the collective vibration of Om, participants will feel the resonance flow through them, grounding them in a state of balance and connection. There will be 108 recitations.
Part 3: The session concludes with a full sound journey that incorporates various healing instruments, guiding participants into deep relaxation, enhanced by the soundscape’s soothing frequencies. Participants may leave feeling centered, refreshed, and attuned to their inner harmony.
Chanting "Om" offers a wide range of benefits, both physiological and psychological, rooted in its vibrational and spiritual qualities:
💓 Calms the Nervous System: The vibration created by chanting Om stimulates the vagus nerve, helping activate the parasympathetic nervous system, promoting relaxation and reducing stress and anxiety.
💓 Balances Emotions: The rhythmic chanting of Om can help balance emotional fluctuations, fostering a sense of inner peace and emotional clarity.
💓 Improves Focus and Mental Clarity: Chanting Om allows the mind to shift away from distractions, enhancing concentration and mindfulness. The repetitive nature of the sound helps clear mental clutter.
💓 Enhances Respiratory Function: The extended exhalation during chanting can improve breath control, expand lung capacity, and regulate breathing patterns, contributing to overall respiratory health.
💓 Boosts Positive Energy: Om is believed to generate positive vibrations that resonate with the body's energy centers (chakras), particularly the third eye and crown chakras. This fosters a deeper connection to spiritual awareness and higher consciousness.
💓 Promotes a Sense of Unity: Chanting Om in a group setting creates a powerful collective energy, encouraging feelings of connection and unity, both with others and with the universe.

Things to note:
Centre of You has plenty of bolsters, blankets, and cushions for you to get cosy with. We recommend wearing comfortable, loose clothes to enable deep breathing and sitting/laying upon the floor with ease. Something to cover your eyes, if you wish to do so (eg. eye mask, scarf). A journal is recommended as are any familiar personal items that will aid you in feeling grounded (crystal, teddy, scarf, etc).
Personal responsibility: Please make an assessment on whether you are feeling stable and resourced enough to explore the practices on offer in this event.
No Photo/Video Content Will Be Captured: We recognise that being at an event where content is being captured can impact the personal comfort and nervous system regulation of our community. As such, it should be known upfront that this event is a photo and video free space. No content will be captured. We ask all participants to honor this agreement in respect of the shared experience by placing any recording devices away on arrival.
Arrival: Endeavour to arrive between 6:15pm - 6:30pm. To preserve the experience for all involved, doors will close at 6:45pm. Truly, it breaks our heart to have to turn latecomers away yet the disruption to the whole group experience by virtue of lateness does require management. We ask that you find understanding and consideration for the timebound nature of the container and make every effort to arrive on time.
